ABSA ******** poor people off their money

<p>Last week my bank card was retained at an ATM. I went into ABSA bank to establish the reasons and to get a new card. They couldn't explain what the reasons were and they told me it would cost me R100 to get a new card. That's absurd!!! For what? My card had not expired, all details were entered correctly on the ATM machine and yet I have to pay for the card. This is ****************! I need answers from ABSA.</p> <p> </p> <p>Previously I saved money with ABSA and when I desperately needed the money, was told that penalty fees for withdrawing early would apply. You can imagine my shock when I discovered that the penalty was R5000. I want my money back. How does Absa charge R5000.00 to withdraw money???</p> <p> </p> <p>I still wonder why I still bank with ABSA after all this.</p> <p> </p> <p>I am not prepared to pay the R100 for a bank card and I want my R5000+ to be reimbursed.</p>
