ABSA & SABINDI WHAT A POOR COMBINATION
I am Marlene Van Eyck a loyal customer to ABSA for years so naturally when I bought a house I did it through ABSA then their housing insurance but come the day to lodge a claim #nightmareonSABINDI street.
I would like to formally lodge a complaint about Absa housing insurance service provider SABINDI.
I have never in my life came across such ***********'s handymen of sorts. After my claim had been approved and an appointment was scheduled SABINDI rocked up to my house to fix my walls and doors with no tools whatsoever even days after the assessor pitched to make notes of what is to be repaired. They then left for hours arriving back at 3pm.
When they arrived at three they had a door frame and new door to be fitted. They took out the old damaged frame replaced it with the new one struggling to a point that they had to dismantle the frame and fix it to the post piece by piece. At 8 that night they were still busy then we had load-shedding resulting in us having to spend the night with no door on hinges barricading the entry to the house. They returned the Saturday morning to hang the door. The door then wouldn't fit a multiple times resulting in them having to remove and refit as it wouldn't line up. They planed the door so skew that even a DIY job would look like a pro. So they then proceeded to varnish the door and seal the sections of the doorpost with painters-mate again the quality of work left us wanting. (holes in the wall. Pics were taken of the outside of the work done but not the inside where it looks like the dogs ass. The outside area was done well. Absa was informed to give us a call back about the tiles but we never received a callback. When the assessor came to write up damages he noted that the whole staircase would be replaced but when we enquired SABINDI would only replace 5 with tiles not even close in similarity. Who does that? I don't do mosaics.
Have you ever heard that access fees are payable to a service provider when Absa is the insurer?
No one of the bank called to follow up if the work was satisfactory or if the job was well done. No courtesy calls nothing. The lock housing where the security gate lock is supposed to go into to keep the gate locked isn't even drilled yet? How is this acceptable? I pay my premiums. We took pictures of all the incomplete work done.
I need Absa to send one of their assessors to check if the work done to our house was satisfactory and in line with ABSAs policies.
