ABSA *********** clients who do not have a voice
I had a credit card limit of R7500. My wallet was ****** with the card in it and I reported the card missing to ABSA...also stopped the card. I sent an email to ********** ********** ********** ********** stating that y limit on the card is R7500 and that I do not understand where is chunk of balance is coming from . I am getting statements with the balance of over R65000 from ABSA. They are sending me from pillar to post. I reported them to the Banking Ombudsman and they claimed that they did not get my complaint whereas I have been communicating with someone from their ***** department who has just left me hanging. The second person from ABSA who was allocated this case is now ignoring my emails. They promised to have this matter resolved by 19 July 2018. Why didn't they raise an alarm when they saw the activities going over R10000 in the credit card? For them to leave it to go to over R50000 without me applying for an overdraft raise eyebrows . This has a negative impact on my ITC record and affecting potential employment and they do not seem to care.
