Absa rewards-disadvantaging clients all the way
Absa rewards system is rigged and does not allocate the correct scores to the clients which effects the payouts.
From the the terms and conditions documents the following is noted.
Accrual period/cycle: Means the period from the 16th of the month to the 15th of the following month, both dates included. The accrual cycle is the period of your spend during which you build up Cash Rewards that are paid out at the end of the month.
Rewards Tier Means the level on which you will earn Cash Rewards from Absa. All the qualifying products and banking behaviours you have adopted at the last day of the previous calendar month will determine your Rewards Tier.
So according to this the score you get for month 1 will be paid out in month 2 however that seems not to be the case the absa system back dates the score and no matter what your score is for month 1 they will pay you out for month 2 score. So this is then false advertising from absa!!!
Your banking app will say your tier score and you will use your facilities however they will pay out according to the next month score.
I have spoken to 3 consultants from the absa rewards department with no conclusion and then receive a email from the absa overides department saying the matter is closed without referencing relevant terms just a email addressing the wrong item.
The team leader Lerato and manager Zelda both have failed to make contact and resolve the matter.
It seems that the consultants only want to waste the customers time make and not solve the system issues.
Absa needs to Address this system issue ASAP! And refund aöö the clients impacted by this!
Zelda did get ahold of me and my matter was resolved, however there is still a system flaw on absa's side that impact all rewards customers.
The system issue should be sorted out.
