Absa Reward... or not

Absa Vehicle Finance offered me a cash reward of close to R12 000 in August, when I decided to have the finance done through them. After the contract was signed I received verbal confirmation that I met the T&C’s with an sms confirming that the reward will be credited to my account 45 days after the first debit order.

The 45 days have passed already and I have been calling Absa Vehicle Finance for the past two weeks to get assistance as I have not received this reward. I called in again on Thursday to hear that the person assigned to deal with this is absent and I must follow up again on Tuesday, next week.

I am wondering now if there might be someone else also struggling with the same issue, or have been, and how it was resolved.
