Good day
I app**** for restructering on my car finance and it was approved from 1st June till 1st Nov 2018according to my knowledge as I send consent for approvement.
I never received written or verbal T&C as I requested a payment plan and it was said that the admin department will send me this information.
On 1st of June 2018 I did not pay the amount agreed upon of R1500 and I only paid R1000 on the 2nd of June 2018. Around mid June when I received my ABSA VF Statement, I contacted Maria asking why does my statement still show arrears and then she informed me that the restructing was never approved as I did not pay the agreed amount. When I asked her where does it stated that she said its in the T&C via the link in the email. I was so shocked that this is the way your restructing department staff deals with customers/ clients and giving them information with hiden agenda. Is this not the reason why ABSA banks employees is FIAS complaint?
I am on maternity leave and only get 50% of my salary but from that my medical aid gets deducted as well (please see attached payslip for May, June and July to see what I have received as a salary and also that Capitec Bank personal loans deducted their funds as soon as salary was deposited. May salary nett R5898.05 - June salary nett R4992.23 - July salary nett R4992.21 - - Capitec 1 R1230 + capitec 2 R299.55 + capitec credit card R400 + capfin R621.72 = R2551.26
I was also battling wit the UIF department for a payment and they finaly paid me on the 5th July 2018 my first payment and then I made an additional payment of R2100. I still have bot received a payment from UIF this month.
So on the 8th of August I received a call from ********** , agent Ambrose who informed me that my account is in an arrears for the past 4 months (whaaat! Why? How?) (evening if my restructing was cancelled I am only in an arrears with +-R6000 that is two months) and its being send off to the creditors to approve if its being repossed or not and the note was placed on the systen on the 7th of August 2018 by Rachel. After that I contacted ABSA VF department on ***who said I need to contact the restructing department and no-one was answering as it when straight to voicemail.
Today I receiced a call from ********** , agent ......... who did not want to give me her surname and gave the phobe to the team leader. The agent first asked me how much can I pay and by when. When I informed her about Ambrose she then said yes I can see that and your account was handed over to be repossesed, (so why you calling me for a payment still) I obviously wanted to know how is that possible as thats not the information that Ambrose gave me and she said its in the T&C and when I said it was never given to me she assumed I am lying ( calls are recorded please listen to it)
The reason why I know there was no T&C’s explained to me is because I cancelled my car insurance and apprently that grounds for immediate cancellation. This is what the team leader explained to me and that I need to make an payment ASAP... All I want too KNOW is how. I am waiting on UIF that I dont have control over and I said Ivam back at work from 3rd Septemberand then I will be able to make normal instalments.
Your ABSA agents are indirectly saying dont have kids and go on maternity leave!!!!
I am not to sure how they got jobs at ABSA bank or they need to go re-write their FIAS because they gave half information or information only when is suits them and that is sneaky and wrong!!!
Please see attached payslips from May-July 2018, ID, financial statement, emails between Maria and I.. 10 pages and the T&C document from Maria not explaining much.
Regards
Stacey-lee Petersen (Mrs)
