ABSA rejects my claim due to shoddy work of a contractor appointed by them

<p>I lodged a claim with ABSA (claim ********** ) for a leaking roof in Q3 2016 with ABSA.</p> <p>They sent out Versitrade, as one of their appointed contractors, to do the repairs etc.</p> <p>I rented out the house recently, and the new tenant informed me (in March) that the roof is leaking again). Since I still have the insurance, I contacted ABSA to tell them that it was not even 6 months, and the roof is leaking again, and that they need to send out Versitrade to come and redo the work that they did.</p> <p>ABSA said that we should log a new claim, which we did ( ********** ). Now a new contractor was appointed, and this contractor did an assessment. The contractor indicated that due to the previous contractor not doing a good job, ceilings need to be repaired and the roof again. For which ABSA rejected the roof (they say it is a maintenance issue, but it was done 6months ago by their approved contractors) and approved the ceiling.</p> <p> </p> <p>Now I am expected to pay out of my pocket for shoddy work (Versitrade) of an ABSA approved contractor. Please can someone from ABSA insurance assist?</p>
