Absa refusing to close account

I have been trying to close my absa account since Monday and again it is a hassle. They claim they cannot close it because of a pending charge from 7 March 2026 even though I have a positive balance in my account. I spent 40 minutes on the phone today, first 10 with Godfrey Ndou and a further 30 with a lady from the retention centre. The branch told me to deposit R90 because my closure balance on her system showed R84. I deposited the R90 yesterday and my balance was R70, not knowing what happened to the R20. I had to argue with eth lady from retentions to get my R20 back which she eventually decided to reverse, not sure why we had to get into an argument first. She also now instructed me to withdraw the money from my account, is this correct? I want this account closed immediately because everyday my balance is getting less.
