Absa provides the worst service in there debit cards department

On the 1 March 2022 I logged a complaint and till today no proper feedback was given instead the complaint was pasted from around. They should really catch awake up. If this complaint is not action within 1 business day i will be forced to take this to the media and banking ombudsman. Below is the actual complaint logged.

My wife had an overdraft with ABSA *** which according to our statement at the debt counselor it shows that the account was paid in full. No further payments was made by them since 26/04/2021. About a week ago we requested for a settlement on the ABSA credit card, which we received. We were also now advised that we owe R276.24 on the overdraft which should be paid in 24 hours. I’m flabbergasted by your process to provide clients with a 24 hour settlement figure, when other banks offer up to seven days. So if we never enquired then we would have never known. Now if I look at the fact that the overdraft was only R2000 and not in arrears prior to going under debt review. According to our Court consent order they made it R2883.93 which means that you have already added charges which was now paid in full. But I guess you want more money cause that was not enough. I have been advised by the debt counselors that they cannot cancel the cheque account as it is not their jurisdictions to do. Now we’ve not received any correspondence from Absa advising that the overdraft is settle and that we could cancel the account as it is not being used. Or we can now start using the account. No but you make a decision to keep the account open in order to drain more money out of us. In fact you suspended the account when we went under debt review and knew full well that we could not utilize the account and therefore kept quite in order to make more money on an account that is not being used. Absa is being dishonest and is not transparent with its customer. In fact you failed under TCF (Treat Customer Fairly) especially in this case. We request for the fees on the cheque account to be reversed and the account to be closed with immediate effect as we still currently under debt review. Please could you provide urgent feedback, to avoid us from taking the matter to the banking ombudsman. Attached is the settlement letter received from yourselves and please investigate.
