ABSA PROOF OF ACCOUNT

I am needing 3 month bank statements for my medical aid review, however I have not used my Absa account in over 18 months. The medical aid have said I am to obtain a letter from Absa to confirm my account is no longer active. I called Absa on Friday, was on phone for over 1 hour to sort this, to be told to email which I have. No response or ever confirmation of email received. I need this urgently.
