ABSA private/young professionals banking is a ****

Avoid ABSA private/young professionals bank. A huge ****. They tell you about prime minus one for home and car loans before you join then point you to the fine red print once you've joined and need a mortgage or vehicle finance. You get better offers from banks you don't even bank with plus they drag their feet. I had to still negotiate for my rate so just rather do it yourself directly with relevant absa office and not via a banker. Access to a private banker is also a ****, I didn't even get a response when I was abroad and had had my bank card blocked. The only response I received was when I laid a complaint 2 weeks later for being ignored even having stated that i was miles away from home; an email I didn't even waste my time reading.

Really not worth it; i've shut down the account because it serves no purpose at all.
