ABSA prevents you from buying and trading Crypto

I have been trying to make a deposit in Binance which allows you buy and trade cryptocurrencies. However i was constantly received an SMS stating it is not allowed under South African Exchange regulations. I contacted the bank and the online teller was most helpful and directed me to the Forex division. i was then advised Absa from last month no longer allows its customers to procure cryptocurrency. My query what regulations per say prevents you from buying cryptocurrency and why is only Absa affected ?
