ABSA poor service

I reported my TV on the 3rd of April 2024. I was told their Supplier was going to collect the TV. Supplier collected my TV on the 4th of April 2024. On the 9th of April 2024 I received an email telling me that Supplier could not repair the TV because the parts for the TV are no longer available. I got this information after making numerous calls trying to get the status of my claim. In that email it was stated that my TV was not covered. When I asked what was the reason for not covering it because in the contract it states that power surge damages are covered for up to R10000. I have been sent from pillar to post. I have thread of emails from them with empty promises. I asked them to return the TV because we could watch it, the problem was that it had horizontal lines at bottom but the rest of the screen was fine. They said they’ve asked the Supplier to return it, that was more than two weeks ago. I have been sending emails, calling the customer centre and I even sent an email to ***. They kept on promising that Supplier will return the TV, at some point I was told the Supplier couldn’t return the TV because it was raining. The following day it wasn’t raining but still the Tv was not returned. Each time I phoned Absa for an update I would be promised that the TV will be returned. I did not call this week and no one called me, TV is still not returned. I am fed up with this poor service I wish I could open a case with SAPS because it feels like the TV has been ******. This is the only TV we had as a family and this has been an inconvenience for us. No one is willing to assist us. I regret take this insurance with Absa because they are really good companies that would have provided a better service. I am going to cancel all my accounts with them, they have proven to be unreliable, unprofessional and don’t care about their customers.

I was stood up again. The Supplier was supposed to deliver my TV yesterday 24/04/24, but no one pitched up. I missed work for nothing again.

Below is the email message I received now from Vanessa, after 4 weeks of them following up with the Supplier. I don't have a TV and they are refusing to honor the claim. Join this insurance at your own risk.

"With reference to complaint number C-*******7 posted on Hello Peter. Insurance has made contact with EuroAssistance and requested that they return the TV. He will followup with them again in the morning. Please let me know once the TV has been returned. I will extend the Timeframe for closure to the end of the day 06 Apr ‘24."
