ABSA - Please talk to your customers

Wow who would have thought in this day and age and being an organization with a long a credible history in South Africa, that ABSA would have learnt that resolving problems of customers is an important business lesson. It is easier to keep a customer than to attract a new customer. My problem remains unresolved because ABSA Social Media Customer Value Management: Customer Care department does not respond emails, text messages and the number provided when called is 'not in use'. I am a pensioner who works in a garden. I do not carry my phone on me whilst working. I have asked by email and text message to give me a time and date when we can speak on the phone. ABSA response via Hellopeter Dear Richard Lomax

We refer to your complaint posted on Hellopeter.

Please accept our sincere apology for any inconvenience caused.

The reference number for your complaint is C-**********9.

Our office tried to contact you on the number ********** to discuss your complaint but was unable to reach you.

Kindly confirm by close of business on 11 April 2024 with a convenient time to contact you or confirm the email address we can communicate to you.

Trust the above is on order.

Going forward I will refer the matter to the Banking Ombudsman and get a resolution to the matter from that organization. This whole problem arose because ABSA does not communicate with their clients.
