Absa, please protect your paying customers!!!

In the past months I have received countless unauthorized debit orders, on my bank account. This is not the 1st I have complained about this, and at some point I was called in to a branch to sign forms to officially stop these debit orders, that sadly did not help aswell. And on my last complaint here on hellopeter a couple of weeks ago, I was left with a "we will investigate and get back to you" response but even today there is not still no end or solution to my problem. This is something I will not stop complaining about until absa sorts it out. Bogus companies submit debit orders on accounts, without offering any services or even any form of consent from the person being debited; and all these are gracefully accepted by absa and all they can say once you are debited is that, "No problem you can have this transaction reversed at any of our branches for a very low charge of R30 per transaction". I get very angry from this because when absa decides to accept any unauthorized debit order, if I am lucky enough to catch it and ask for a reversal, they benefit from this situation.

New logo and new vision; but even today not enough resources and time has been directed towards preventing these ******** from wreaking havoc on our bank accounts. If you can protect us at that level as your paying customers, then what is the point of paying all these banking fees?

I am going to post this every week on hellopeter until absa can put in some real effort into helping and protecting their clients at any cost.

Week 1.
