ABSA OVER 55 LET DOWN

<p>Some years ago (with great fanfare) and media adverts, ABSA rewarded their senior clients with the</p> <p>offer of no fees should you be over 55 years of age. I accepted that offer (contract) and have since not</p> <p>paid fees other than a monthly overdraft facility fee. Suddenly a month or so ago I started receiving</p> <p>a charges statement with a cap limit of R500 pm (generous??? but fishy). Bank Manager says it was always like that!!!???). I also was getting billed for EFT transfers made. I was not advised of the one sided change in our contract nor were there media adverts of how ungrateful ABSA now became of their senior clients, of whom I am one, who has quite a substantial investment with this BANK of absolute Integrity (as big business profess to be).</p> <p> </p> <p>I think it's a shame of how all of a sudden new sources of revenue need to be found. I thought if you stick to your business plan which has been working that you would not have to go to these lenghts to earn an</p> <p>extra million to pay those bonuses. </p> <p> </p> <p>Your client of 36 years.</p>
