ABSA Online payment forces me to select "pre-listed beneficiary" who doesn't exist on their list!! Payment can't be made, losing me money, costib
ABSA Online Banking - ABSA-listed beneficiaries. I have a settlement I need to make within 3 days. After spending an hour trying to do this, I can still not bypass ******* processes. If I want to make a once-off payment, let me choose for myself. Now you force me to look for a pre-listed beneficiary that doesn't exist on your list?!?! (Direct AXIS/Firstrand Bank). I've just about had it with ABSA.

03 Aug 2020, 10:54Thank you for your response Nthabiseng. I only have 3 days in which to make this payment and it still has to clear in their account etc.
I would accordingly appreciate your fastest possible assistance.

04 Aug 2020, 11:26Hi Nthabiseng, thank you for following up and trying to assist.
My complaint relates to (1) pre-listed beneficiaries on the ABSA system, which there are hundreds of but Direct AXIS/Firstrand isn't one of them and I cannot proceed without selecting a pre-loaded beneficiary. This brings me to the 2nd complaint. Customers should be able to make a once-off payment to any institution they insert the details of, regardless of whether it is an "ABSA-listed" beneficiary or not. My instructions are rejected because the account number inserted comes up as an ABSA-listed beneficiary but you cannot find the institution name for the account number on the ABSA-listed beneficiary list.
I hope this makes sense.
