Absa online account opening procedure is ****

So I usually bank with fnb and have no issues but I wanted to try out absa bank since I took out a personal loan with these guys and they seem to be decent. I didn’t think opening a bank account with these guys will be such a waste of time. I have tried making calls several times to the number provided. I’m currently sitting now with a call for 25 minutes and no one has even taken my call. The main issue is I did an online application for a bank account and eventually they called me and arranged everything. Then dsv contacted me and made delivery arrangements. I got the car but there’s no pin inside. So I follow the steps to retrieve the pin but no luck. They say that my account is not linked to my number but they contacted me on the same number. It says that I would have to go into an absa branch in order for me to retrieve the card pin. I don’t have online banking and if I wanna link the online banking it asks for a care number and a pin which I don’t have. It’s like useless even doing an online application with absa for a bank card because you can’t link it up. So for those that want to open up an account online and think it’s going to be smooth sailing just think again. Some of us don’t have the time to spend inside a branch especially when it’s during working hours that’s why we do online applications.
