ABSA not updating their records!
I had a personal loan account with ABSA that went into arears. I settled my Personal Loan account and contacted ABSA to close the account which was done quickly and promptly over the phone, however ABSA has failed to update my credit report with the Credit Bureau, this is now affecting any and all credit I try to obtain, on contacting the call center I was told that I must wait for it to be updated, this was about a month ago! How long must I wait Absa? You phoned and harassed me all day for weeks until I settled the account and then once you have your money you dont care?

13 Aug 2019, 11:01Thank you for you reply, I actually need this sorted out asap as you are giving me a bad credit score for money I do not owe you. When I settled my personal loan account it was 4 months in arrears, it has not been updated and now says that I am 9 months in arrears and I don't even owe ABSA any money. When i did owe money I was instructed to rectify immediately so I think it is fair that you do the same!
