ABSA NOT RELEASING FUNDS TO A DECEASED ESTATE.

Absa is delaying the release of funds to my father in law Estate. ABSA deceased estates dept. Recieve and acknowledged the documents relating to the estate on 7 Dec 2024. In the last month we call them more than 3times about the funds. Each time we needed to confirm who the legal representatives were. To release the payment. Yesterday when we called again, Absa said we have not yet confirmed who the legal representatives are. This is clearly a delay tactic from Absa. When calling the deceased estate dept you will spend atleast 10 to 30 minutes on hold wating to speak to someone.
