Absa not closing my account and still charging me for services I m not even using

I have an account with absa which was in arrears and I was handed over to the attorneys I paid the account on the 21st January 2021 and sent the proof of payment to the attorneys asked if this account can be closed till this day is not closed they still charging me for the services I m not using. I went to the branch to try close the account but I was told since the account was handed over they can't close they will contact the attorney till today... I m now receiving statements that I owe the bank +- R600 this is rediculous I have paid off this account more than twice. Can someone please assist I can't be paying for services I m not using. Absa is ripping us off
