ABSA no service, no communication
Regarding dorminant account and Will fees.
I am left with no other obligations but to write this review as I am struggling more than 6 years to get my Will from 30 years back cancelled from Absa. I Went to numerous branches over these last couple of years with promises that it has been canceled...just to find out a year later the fees are still deducted of R115 each year. I also have tried to close my previous savings account that I have for at least 12 years due to the fact that I did not received a steady income and rarely used the account but the bank only keep on putting me in arrears for all these R115 plus debit costs ...I don't know what to do anymore. This is the 4th time I have really bad service from Absa. I need my account ending with 900 closed and any money owned is NOT for my account. The last time I went into the Queenswood branch the lady said I can't close the account before I don't pay R800....R800 for what? I am a single mother who's only income os a disability grant. In the beginning of 2023 I need to change my bank for my Sassa grant to get paid in, at the office of SASSA there was agents from ABSA who help me to open a new savings account, and that is the only account I use. Please, Please I don't need a Will I was 19 years old when I took out that will, and all my circles have changed a long time ago. My first husband already passed away so did my mother who was beneficiaries. Why are the communication with Absa so difficult? Please this stress me out to see that nothing I asked have been rectify. Please can anyone respond.
