ABSA no customer value or satisfaction, total lack
My debit card expired in Dec 2015. I didnt' receive a sms from ABSA to remind me (FNB sends out sms's to their clients). I went to the ABSA Centurion Lifestyle Centre on 2 Jan 2016 to get a new card. Initially the cashier said that she is unsure if i will be charged for the late renewal. I responded that if ABSA charge me it would be unexceptionable and very poor customer service. After I have received the card she confirmed that they didn't charged me for the new card - I was happy. Today i received my bank charge statement and noticed that ABSA charged me R100 for the card??? This is ridicules - so the cashier **** to my face to get rid of me? I have been contemplated for a while now to move to FNB who is more modern, up to date and gives better customer value and services for professionals. I you ever considered moving to ABSA - reconsider before you make the worst mistake ever. I have a few products at ABSA and will definately move it to FNB - VERY Disappointed in ABSA's misrepresentation. For ABSA bank is ALL about the money and they ignore good customer relationships. I would be glad to see this company loose some ground in this industry and never recover.
