ABSA Nightmare Experience
I would sincerely recommend never buying a car through ABSA vehicle finance. If you ever find yourself in the unfortunate position of being unable to pay your installment, ABSA will not follow normal civil channels, but likely have you arrested for *****. Or like me, *******ly report your car ****** at the SAPS without a court order and then change the charge to ***** after you have been falsely arrested at gun point for *****ing your own car.
Their ***** investigator, Mr. Botha will then make an affidavit that your employer, in this case Labat Africa PTY Ltd, doesn't exist when all he had to do was Google them for a full company profile. He will then claim your payslip was forged by you even though it was mailed directly to your Private Banker at ABSA from your HR department. So take my advice, think twice before buying anything financed by ABSA, you could find yourself in jail for no reason whatsoever. Scary, but true!

29 Jun 2022, 12:50 ABSA, not content with having the charges withdrawn by the Chief Prosecutor regarding the case in my 1st complaint, have now laid more complaints against me with commercial crimes in Pretoria via a captain Storm. They are now charging me with ***** for a vehicle that was returned to them by me and has already been resold. This case is even more ridiculous than the 1st one that was withdrawn due to the incompetence of their investigator. They granted me finance for over R 40,000.00 per month on a salary of R 66,000.00 per month and claim I prejudiced them by overstating my salary, which was CLEARLY not once taken into account ?? This is one of many, many factors and I can go on and on for pages with this, but essentially, DO NOT finance your car through ABSA!! If you lose your job, and they are guilty of reckless lending, your life will be destroyed by them during the cover up!
