ABSA; NIGHMARE TO CLOSE DECEASED'S ACCOUNTS
I am the executor in a deceased estate and have tried my utmost to close the deceased's bank accounts. Though ABSA was notified on the 29/09/2022 and notwithstanding continuous follow-ups, I was informed this morning (17/08/2023) that the accounts have not been closed yet.
But in the meantime attorneys have been instructed to collect funds from the deceased estate with regards to a cheque and a credit card account. How is that possible?
