Absa need to streamline credit card reporting procedure.

Following notification of a ***** incident on 18/12/21 I do believe Absa need to streamline and make clear their procedure following such notification, as below demonstrates our concern and frustration:- 1. 18/12 SMS Notification stating a transaction of R3723 at some supermarket in Ireland (a further 6 transactions raised this to R24,000. 2. We acknowledged it was a ***** and rep**** by pressing option 1, to which we then received a message "Unable to locate your details" 3. Immediately phoned and whilst giving details was cut off. 4. 18/12 at 18:29 spoke to Mbogeni who gave a ref. number and said he would stop the card and will investigate the *****. 5. 23/12 Received advise that new card was ready for collection. 6. 29/12 Collected card and was told that there was not further news on reversing the ********** amounts that now appeared on my statement. 7. As s result of 6. phone the ***** line again and was told by by Ms Mokibelo that the previous "consultants" should have told us we need to send an affidavit to Absa signed by the police. 8. 30/12 11:02 Sent email with attached affidavit and copy of statement 9. 30/12 Received confirmation stating I would be contacted within "48 business hours" 10. 03/01 As no contact yet made I sent an email stating what did Absa mean my business hours and why not just refer to business days as hours can be very confusing for customers (i.e. excluding Saturdays one has to divide 48 hrs. by their 8.5 hrs per day, which can if including weekends take around 8 consecutive days).
