Absa must take responsibility of my claim
Again Absa refuses a claim. The recent floods that was in the month of April 2019 caused some damage to my property like so many other people. I phoned absa and reported it. Claim number *** was allocated. Two weeks later an assessor came to inspect the damages. The criteria that absa uses to select their assessors doesn't live up the name of absa. He assessed the damage. After a month no report was given to absa by this assessor and a complaint was logged. Absa sent out another assessor almost 2 months after the claim was logged and he assessed all the damages within 5 minutes, how can u do a assessment so quick. The water leaked through the roof of all the bedrooms,my carport gutter got damaged and my roof gutter on my second property got damaged. On the 09 july 2019 absa phones me and says the damage is due to maintenance and they dont cover that. I told the lady that my carport is less that 2 years old so what maintenance do u need on that as well as the gutter on the roof. How often do they want me to maintain my property cos the roof was sealed and painted less than 5 years ago and with dulex products and sealed as well. They are always looking on ways to refuse claims but are deducting the premiums every month. Absa needs to take responsibility for this as i maintained my property in short periods and according to my research it says that the exterior of ur property must be maintained within 5-7 years
