ABSA mistakenly took my money and apologised but they did not give me my money back

Money has been deducted from my ABSA credit card on a monthly basis.

I didn't notice this until it the amount was greater than R250.00 per month.

I visited the ABSA branch at Gateway and ABSA confirmed that this was in error as it was for a Credit Life Premium service that I did not agree to.

ABSA has since committed to refunding me the money since June 2016 but all my follow up calls result in the call centre agent telling me they are working on my refund.

You should check your ABSA Credit Card statement as well as these charges go into the thousands over a perod of time and this money is rightfully due to you.

(I have email confirmation and reference numbers from ABSA confirming that they money will be paid back to me)

Reviewer Update

ABSA has resolved this issue as of this morning (24 November 2016). The 2 people who have dealt with this issue in the past 10 days have been great in their feedback. Thank you to those 2 people specifically.

NOTE TO ABSA:

I have been an ABSA customer for 14 years.

1. Total turn around time for resolution on this isssue is 6 months.

2. This is not my first bad customer experience with ABSA, the last one has caused me to take the follwowing products to FNB:

* FNB Private Banking

* FNB Home Loan

* FNB Vehicle Finance

3. As a result of this 6 month turn around time, I have no faith in the Service Delivery of ABSA and I will be Cancelling All my ABSA Products as I am Paying for the "Poor Service"
