ABSA Manager to busy to see a customer

On the 14 November 2017 I had breakfast at a Wimpy restaurant in Bronkhorstspruit. My Debit and Credit card were found to be blocked. I checked at an ATM and got the same message. (I have to go back to pay the restaurant, another additional expense.)

On visiting an ABSA Branch, Oakfields Benoni, I was told it was nothing to do with lack of funds. But a bank problem and my cards were opened again. So I have had to travel from Bronkhorstspruit to Oakfields for a Bank mistake. (The Bronkhorstspruit ABSA branch was cordoned off by police.)

I then asked if I could RICI my account and then the real problem started. I had gone on the way to the bank to my local Police station to get an affidavit to confirm my residence as all my accounts are now via Email and do not contain my physical address. The bank would not accept a Police affidavit and needed their own, which meant I had to bring someone with me to verify I did live at the address given. I am 83 years old and must now pursued someone to come with me to the Bank. I am a widower and live along, so I have to ask someone who has a job to take the day off to come with me to the bank. I asked to see the manager, was taken to his office BUT HE WAS TO BUSY TO SEE ME. I have been with ABSA for at lease 30 years, and never needed to trouble a branch manager before. So it was a completely un-experience to be told he was to busy to see an long standing customer. My RICI was not resolved.
