Absa making money from charges

My husband went into thw branch some time ago to cancel the rewards program on his account. This was done. After that they upgraded his account to a platinum cheque account and added it back without permission. This was okay until covid 19 came. R23. 50 charges for the rewards program couldn't go off as he does not have any money and cannot work. Absa charges R150 bank charges for R23. 50 that didn't go off. They further charge R100 penalty for the account going into a negative. This all for R23. 50 that couldn't go off. March and April this happened and then going to happen in May also. Is this not madness??? Why did Absa add back the rewards in the first place? This needs to be removed as well as the charges.
