Absa makes my life difficult

<p>I have been trying to change my ID with Absa Bank but with no success. I got a vehicle finance loan when I was using a foreign passport. I then acquired a South African ID. However changing my ID has not been easy. They, unlike userfriendly banks like FNB, require one to have proof of address to change an ID number. I tried submitting these and each time I do, there is always a query by whoever would be assisting me such that I end up unable to change my ID number. I always move from one place to another, which makes my life more difficult with Absa. I dont understand why changing an ID should be so complicated with this bank. After all I am not applying for a loan, just informing them that I now use a South African issued ID. What can be so wrong with that?</p>
