ABSA looking for the smallest reason not to pay out a claim
Dear ABSA
You offer your clients a death benefit of R15 000.00 on there saving account. You stipulate that the account must have R50 in it for it to be valid. Fair enough, but when your client is lying on a ventilator in a cover ICU and has no ability to maintain the account and monitor debit orders etc and then tragically passes away.
It is really heartless of such a large organisation to use this stipulation to refuse a grieving struggling family this payment and to decline the claim for a few days of this account having less than R50 in it. Surely the circumstances can be understood, we are after all in the midst of a Pandemic.
Your client Mrs Pienaar was client of yours for many years, this treatment is disgusting
