ABSA longs q's will stay forever because the call center cannot do anything

The call center takes 8 minutes to do a security check with me and verify my details and the tells me to go to the branch to change a cell number because the call center does not have authority to change cell numbers anymore, to prevent ***** No wonder the Q's are so long at the ABSA branches, the call center cannot do anything.
