Absa lists me for a car that was paid off over a year ago and transfer papers are already collected last year...and refuses to update or get back to me

I would like to know why Absa have listed me for payments due (9 months) of a car that was already paid off a year ago. The transfer papers have already been received and the car is on my name? We have corresponded with a gentleman named "Ontibele" (who is ignoring our calls now) who promised to resolve the matter over a week ago and he would have updated the status on the credit side of things where we are listed at the moment. Nothing has been done and our credit score is impacted in such a way that we are now being turned down for our home loan because of ABSA's incompetency. This is truly the absolute worst service I have ever encountered from a supposedly professional institution.
