ABSA Life Insurance

I was recently admitted to a psychiatric hospital for depression, which according to any educated person is a mental illness. However, when I submitted a claim to ABSA Life Insurance I was rejected because they do not consider depression as a serious illness. I am gravely disappointed that with everything that has taken place this year and given that we are in a global pandemic, they would reject my claim. In a whole 2020, you would think that such an institution would have awareness that mental health is as serious a illness that would need to be treated as any other physical disease.
