ABSA life does not want to settle a claim

This is a follow-up review, last month I wrote a review about ABSA Life's bad service. I lodged a claim on September 23, however, my claim was not attended to. Then I decided to lodge a complaint and was told that the matter will be settled on or before November 2, 2022. When I called this morning I was told that nothing has been done since October 14 regarding my claim, which means there was no forensic investigation that had taken place as promised. Below is an email I received on October 14, 2022. Re: C-***7 Absa has a new 1-star review [ ref:_00D1r1GluM._5005qDNWGi: ref ] Dear Edwin

Our office has been informed by the Absa Life department that your case has been referred to our Forensics team for further investigation and they need 15 days to investigate.

More time is required and we will provide you with another update on or before 02 November 2022.

The problem with you is that you are a ****. There is nothing has been done on this claim since September 23. The investigation you are talking about was not conducted during the last 15 days. your plan is that I get discouraged and give up. I wonder why more time is needed since you do not investigate. I will take this matter further and see who will have the last laugh. The agent I talked to told me everything about how claims are handled by ABSA life especially if the claim involves a large amount. I will lodge a complaint with OBS for starters this morning.

Anyone who has got insurance policy with ABSA is in trouble, this bank does not want to pay. It is only good at collecting premiums. When the time to claim comes they move you from pillar to post, and they tell you all bull**** reasons to delay or avoid payment. People of South Africa run away from this bank take policy somewhere else where the client's interest comes first.

If they were really investigated they would have told me the preliminary findings but since this is a lie there are no preliminary findings. This is just a delaying tactic, if I do not take action fast the so-called investigation will never end since it has not yet started

Your ABSA life team has been doing nothing on this matter since September 23, 2022, which is why I reported this matter to the complaints department hoping they will take decisive action. To silence me because I was a pain in the ass they made a note that they have requested the recordings, which was a lie, now they have made a new update that they are busy working on this case while they are doing nothing. Unfortunately, this department is powerless it only relies on updates from the ABSA life team which are not true and they relay them to me without checking their authenticity. Initially, you referred the matter to your Forensic Investigators who come out with no findings now the matter is back to the ABSA life team the very team that failed to do their job. Do you check what they do or do you rely on what they tell you or write on the claim status? Check below the second email you sent me in case you have forgotten:
