ABSA Legal - Lipco law for all

My husband pays ABSA a fee every month for their lawyers so that when he needs to, he can use them. We approached them in January to assist us and represent us for a CCMA case. After very poor assistance from the lawyer given to us, a second lawyer was assigned to our case, after emails, phonecalls, documents sent back and forth we received a call the afternoon before the case, informing us they could not help us and our claim has been excluded.

The case was withdrawn and a second one opened and again we approached them to assist us. The very same thing proceeded to happen regardless of all the paperwork and surplus amount of evidence given to them. And we were advised to consult a lawyer on their panel at our own cost.

Absa's legal services are pathetic. Their lawyers take 3 weeks and more to let clients know whether they will be assisted or not. Half the time you can barely even get ahold of them. So paying a fee every month for this service, is a waste of time because you don't get assisted anyways. You're just given the run around.

And then you have to fork out additional money for another lawyer. We will definitely be cancelling this policy and taking it up with someone who is more reliable and does not waste our time or money and actually provides the service that we are paying for.
