ABSA LARGE COMPLAIN

I was in arrears with payments for 3 months for my car in 2024. My monthly installment for my car is R2400.70. I started to pay again in January 2024 the amount of R2274.68 until now.

I additionaly paid the following 3 amounts to cover more than my arrears: 16 July 2025 …..R5500 4 August 2025…R9125 6 August 2025…R5000 A total of: R19625( MUCH MORE THAN WHAT I OWE). My payment on my account of 10 August was R22212.86(TOO MUCH …. I am now paid up fully and also paid up in advance).

I was very shocked when Absa came to collect my car on 6 August. I did not receive ANY emails from Absa regarding my car.

I phoned about 8 people at Absa. NO ONE COULD or did not want to ASSIST me at all. It was so frustrating that no one could assist me. If they have looked at my account they should have seen all my July and August 2025 upfront payments.

I received the FIRST email today 14 August(ON MY REQUEST). I did owe R79452.13 on my car on 10 August. With THIS email that I have received today the 14th of August the outstanding amount for my car was R98237.92. A DIFFERENCE OF R12240.96 in 4 days(10 August and 14 August). THIS IS TOTALLY ABSURD. AND TOTALLY WRONG. Absa made a big mistake. I think the different departments at Absa did not communicate/coordinate with each other!!! And they also did not look at my account.

How is it possible if I did pay 3 payments in advance on the 16 July, 4 August and the 6th of August in the MORNING that they can come and collect my car(even without a phone call or email. Absa came to collect my car on 6th of August the EVENING(without any communication). I did pay R22212.86 in advance and i did not owe ABSA ANYTHING. I wanted to show the people that came to fetch my car proof of ALL my payments but they was not willing to look or take the proof of payments with them.

Absa need to rectify their mistake and take responsibility for what happen and return my car. And cancell the additional fee bill that was only mailed to me TODAY(on my request).
