absa just allows companies to debit without checking
In December I got a Debi Sure request on the ABSA app. This was not something I signed up for, so I declined it. Every time I opened the app it asked me to confirm it. I kept declining it. Then in January they started debiting my account. I contacted Absa and they just tell me to contact my service provider. I do not have an account with that company and never have. Later Absa tells me they can suspend a debit-sure for only three months. I keep telling them that it is a *****ulent transaction and I want it cancelled permanently and my money returned. Then I'm transferred to another department. Its been four months now and they have debited my account four times. If this is not resolved by Tuesday I am going to open up a case of theft against Absa.
They just say "please note that absa will not reverse any Debi check debit orders"
(DebiCheck is a debit order system that requires you to electronically confirm a debit order with your bank before it is processed.)
I received numerous requests on my banking app and I declined it every time.
But still the debit order went through.
And now they are debiting my account and all ABSA says is "take it up with the other party..."
This is totally unacceptable.
I trust the bank to keep my funds safe.
I trust the bank not to hand over my hard earned money without my authorization.
But ABSA clearly can not be trusted to honour the trust given to them.
Further more they can not fix the error in their system nor rectify the mistake.
ABSA says...
"Through powerful storytelling and bold action, Absa is reshaping banking to celebrate the dreams, resilience, and ambition of everyday South Africans. #WeSeeYourStory"
I don't see any bold actions. But I do see a story of disgrace & dishonour.

Why don't you put your whole reply here?
Why don't you mention here that no matter what I send you, you can not get my money back?
You accuse me of accepting it by mistake.
I have not accepted the Debi Sure. How easy it is for you to say I made a mistake, but you can not admit and correct your company's mistakes.
Send me the proof that I accepted the Debi Sure.
If you can't send me proof, then only a public apology on all your social media accounts will do.
And then there is the question of all the money I spent on your call centers trying to get this issue sorted.
I would also like to have the interest returned on the money you *****ulently have away.
