ABSA: IS your debt getting you down speak to us? NONSENSE

I app**** for an ABSA credit card about 18 months ago. As most individuals I have used the card paid monthly and at a certain point my small SME ran into financial difficulties due to vehicle breakdowns etc. no vehicles no revenue. I have communicated 100% with ABSA CC division when I realised I might be struggling with the full installment. I have made payments albeit less than instalment and continued to communicate with them and pre-legal attorneys and even set up a weekly payment. My arrears in less than R30k but I have now been handed over to Norlam for the full amount owed even if the full amount as per credit card is not due as yet. I have made an arrangement to pay R4000 per month starting end Aug for 3 months and will endeavour to pay more thereafter. Eventhough I have the arrangement in place I am still being summonsed and nw the monthly amount is increased without allowing me to even make the first payment. In addition my credit card facility has been cancelled even though ABSA informed me that it would not be cancelled. For a bank that advertises "don't let your debt get the better of you , talk to us" they are NOT accommodating at all!. I know of individuals who do not even have to courtesy to notify the bank of no payment or deal with pre-legal attorneys and their credit facility has not been cancelled.n How is this fair. I am a responsible individual and over communicated but I am told by admin clerks at Norlam to pay in full over 10 months or a reduced fee but it is still more than what I can afford AND the FULL amount is not due. I do believe individuals who just don care get away with everything.
