ABSA is useless

You won;t believe how behind the times ABSA is. Whilst out of South Africa my password to my ABSA account stopped working. After many attempts and very costly phone calls their consultants could not re-instate my account. When their efforts failed again, they said "you will have to come into a branch". Really? What are they thinking? I do not live in South Africa and have family there I need to help during Covid. I have had accounts with banks all over the world and ALL of them can re-instate an account with out having to come physically into a branch.
