Absa is not protecting theit clients on Unauthorised Debit Order

It's over 6 months that every month on payday and after I'm getting unauthorised debit orders on my acount. It's the amount of R99,99 or R169,99 sometimes it total to over R500. I found myself at the branch even if I don't have time to do reversals of which I think I'm charged for it.

I don't know who these people deducting my money are. I spoke to consultants at Absa they acknowledged it's a problem most people are getting these debit order. As a financial institution I feel they don't do anything to stop it. Can they have maybe some sort of alert to their clients before the debit is through or make it easy give us an access to do reversal like other banks without going to the branch and stand in a long que everymonth. It's frustrating I've lost money because I couldn't go to the branch. The other time I was admitted at the hospital.

Please absa help

Dear Customer

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.

Please note that the Bank will not divulge any of your information to a 3rd party as the code on Banking practise prohibits the bank to do so.

You can reverse these debit orders via your internet banking application.

Regards

Claudette
