Absa is misleading South Africans with their Card Protection Insurance(Loss of Income) to be specific..

I regarded Absa as one of the friendliest banks in South Africa. I have 2 credit cards that come with Insurance protection. I have been paying my accounts without any default for 2years until I lost my job. I then I claimed for Loss of income which is one of the listed benefits. To my shock and surprise, I was told that I cannot claim because I was not retrenched. My argument is when this Insurance protection is offered there is no specific information regarding loss of income and one can assume that its any kind of loss of income. Absa is misleading our poor South Africans and taking our monies. And tey continue to send my account to lawyer for collection, I receive calls everyday and I am asked to answer their question regarding to non payment of my account whereas I have already mentioned my predicament. I want the premiums I paid for those credit cards. No one wishes to be retrenched and in my understanding Absa only pays the claim only when retrenched under loss of income. I am not happy at all with this service.....
