ABSA is messing up my credit score!!!
Absa advised on 10 May that my home loan was in arrears of R40 000. I asked them to investigate the matter as I was paying monthly. They later advised that the error was on their side and they sent a letter advising that the error was fixed and there were no arrears. This week, I find out that ABSA has listed on the ITC that I have not paid them for 7 months, and I am listed as a high risk. I furthermore owe them R38 000 .I have called ABSA again, and they are advising that the seems to be something wrong with my profile and they advise that the arrears amount is R1000. They will investigate and get back to me in 10 days!!!!
I have not received a single call from ABSA, and no one is taking accountability of the situation. Every time I call in, there is a different person that I speak to, and I have to start telling the story from scratch. When I follow up, there is nothing that has been done.
It is worrying that a big institution like ABSA is getting information incorrect on a home loan worth a lot of money. At this point, I have no faith in ABSA. I do not know how this is going to get resolved. I am debt free, but my credit record is bad because of ABSA's incompetencies.
Please please assist.
Nothing has been done to resolve this. As usual, ABSA is relaxed and doing nothing. We are losing out on opportunities to make money because of this rating!!!!!!!
ABSA is useless and has no respect for their clients. In any case, which bank makes a mistake on a home loan. Like really!!!!!! This is a long term agreement that involves a lot of money nad you go make a mistake on the amounts!!!!!! Worse still, you are not trying to resolve the matter.
We are suffering because of this.
