ABSA is deliberately torturing me emotionally
I got a personal loan from Absa and that was the beginning of my hard times. I really regret applying for a loan from this institution because the consequences of me applying for their loan are bad.
I was unable to repay their loan in 2020 because of the covid19 lockdowns. I app**** for a debt review and Absa became one of the creditors under debt review.
I was paying my monthly installments properly with the little I was getting until June 2021 when I lose my job. I couldn't manage to pay but I claimed from my Credit Life insurance to start paying my Creditors. Unfortunately because of the delay from my Credit Life insurance, Absa decided to cancel my debt review agreement as they were not receiving payments from me for six months from last year July 2022.
Before I lost my job, my payments were up to date but because now I'm jobless and I was waiting for my credit life insurer to approve my claim, I couldn't pay.
In January this year, my Credit Life insurance paid all my creditors (INCLUDING ABSA), all the monies I owe them from July 2022 to December 2022. I have got a proof of payment to prove this and the statement from my debt reviewer as well.
All this time, while I was waiting for credit life insurance Claim to be processed, I received calls from ABSA, emails and sms'es everyday and nights. They demand that I pay them their money. Mind you, I'm jobless and I got no means of income. My uif money is too little and can only manage to buy food for my children.
Everytime they sent me these emails, I respond to their emails asking for them to send me my loan statement because my Credit Life insurance paid them the money they claiming from me but that falls on deaf ears. I'm being harassed and tortured emotionally by this bank, day and night and I can't sleep at night, not anymore since this bank started with their torturing agenda.
With me here, I have got a proof of payment to prove that the money was paid to Absa by my credit life insurance and the same was sent to Absa.
I need an intervention from someone superior ro these *****s who are working at Absa collection department.
