ABSA investments refusing to assist with fund payouts

Today I was informed in order to draw funds from my target save I need to go to the branch to have my account closed even though I don't want to draw all the money I just wanted half of the investment.

I am currently unemployed and I was not informed by the branch that this will be the case. I was informed that I can place notice on my internet banking to draw funds but no one said there was a limit per year on how many times you can draw. Now with the hardships faced from 2020 and COVID this is how my bank would treat me knowing well that a banks livelihood is reliant on customer deposits.

I opened my account in 2008/2009 and the rule was that the funds become available after 7 months and can be drawn. After a week or two the option disappears and the funds are reinvested for another 7 months.

If ABSA, my bank, doesn't want my business then pay out all my funds without penalty fees since y'all don't want my business and are forcing me to close the account to draw my own money that I have invested to date and I will be sure to close all other accounts and get a different financial institution who would be willing to assist a loyal customer.
