Absa insurance use contractors that are dishonest and can't do the job but are still on their panel

Trust that you all are well. I am really frustrated that such a company namely Amalgamated Wellborn can be on your panel when they are a company that has poor service, defective and poor workmanship and their staff are dishonest.

I greatly regret using this company to repair my home that was damaged due to a burst pipe since 02 January 2021.To date this company has not completed the job correctly and has done tiling twice incorrectly, damaged appliances, lost curtain railings hooks and light switches to name a few.

I visited the site on Sunday the 21 February 2021 and saw that my fridge was not covered my wife then saw that the fridge had a dent on the top and bottom as well which was not there previously. We reported this to the foreman who was not on site I had seen him and his son driving on the N2 earlier. I then called Krishen on of the partners in Durban and reported this to him.Krishen called me in about 5 minutes stating that we will sort this out and he would deduct this damage cost from the tilers.

I visited the site again today on the 25 February 2021 and still so much has not been done as per my previous complaints, Plastering done poorly on windows that were replaced. Painting done shoddy poor preparation done. Doors not painted properly poorly prepared cornices not joined properly and this company now refuse to take accountability for the damaged fridge eventhough it was not damaged before they took over the site and only they had access to it so who damaged the fridge? They bubble wrapped a religious Buddha statue that was purchased in Bali and it is damaged and broken pieces still inside bubble wrap. They don't take accountability for this as well.

The tiling that they have done twice already is not level and high and low in some parts. They damaged my kitchen doors and still have not replaced them eventhough the internal assessor Peter asked them why didn't they remove the doors when removing the tiles from the kick panels of the kitchen cupboard to which the partner Krishen stated he does not know why this was not done.

So this company continues to do poor workmanship and severely prejudice the client and they still get more jobs from ABSA... Is this for real. In fact I pointed all the defects and faults to the internal assessor Peter and I also played him the recording with Krishen regarding the fridge damage where Krishen confirms they will sort out the fridge. Is this the type of company ABSA wants... Dishonest?

We have not been to our premises since 2 January 2021 and we have given Amalgamated Wellborn more than enough time to fix up their mistakes but they continually frustrate us further. Enough is enough can you please step in and demand this company replace the items they damaged and get them off site and please seriously consider removing them off your panel for your own interest as this company is path ethic and dishonest and have no integrity or the necessary skills for a construction company.
