Absa Insurance must rather close their doors because they SUC****

We had a geyser replaced at our home early 2014. The geyser had to be installed through the roof as the contractor could not get it through the trap in the ceiling. Rooftiles were damaged and because of that we had ceiling damage with the rains that followed there after. Another claim was opened and a company Aronda Bouers were sent for the repair. They then said that they were instructed by Absa not to repair any tiles but to only repair the ceiling. They were quite helpfull. Because the tiles were not sorted out, not long thereafter we had more ceiling damage again. Up until this day, this issue ha not been resolved. I have been communicating telephonically as well as on email with numerous people but for the last year and a half or so talking to Elsabe Jacobs from the claims department. She promised me that she will take the matter up with the neccesary people or department and have it resolved. We then got to a point some time last year that she said to me they have approved an amount which we had to get quotations for the replacement of the broken tiles and the repair of the ceiling, and that they will pay it out to us and we an get it repaired. Out of desperation to have our roof sorted out, we had it repaired, but still the claim has not been paid out. My emails are ignored and my calls always falls on deaf ears. I am sick to my stomach with this company. I will not leave it at this and have also lodged a claim with the insurance ombudsman. I have already changed my bank account to another bank because of the way they have treated us and my wife is going to do the same.

Thank you for your reply - but this is a little too late, do not expect ABSA to do anything at all. We've send the report to the ombudsman last night.

Thank you
