Absa Insurance ... Incompetency

The recent storm caused damage to my house. The awning was blown off the wall and its stancheons by the strong gail force wind. It rained heavily with hail stones the size of golf *****. Anyway the awning landed on my roof causing damage to the tiles and rafters. The heavy rains poured later on that night and my house leaked all over. Absa Insurance has been advised CAW Projects, the company that was sent to repair the damage caused by the storm. Norman came into the home and said my geyser is leaking. After saying that all he could do was to paint the ceilings. Then he went and did the external inspections and made an opiniated decision to Absa that my awning was not installed according to building regulations. But he left he said that he won't be able to help with emergency repairs as he is very busy. I must call Absa to get someone else to do the emergency repairs. I called Absa and they said that Norman from CAW told them that the awning caused the damage. It was the STORM and not the awning. Absa refused to assist and asked to find my own builder to do the emergency repairs. Now they want to appoint an assessor. In the mean time my house is unprotected from the inclement weather.

Absa as yet concluded my claim from 2011 when they sent a builder that didn't do his work. They paid him. So now I have 2 disputes with Absa. I have all my business accounts, cards and investments and off course the home loan with them. Loyalty doesn't count even after 20 years.

Absa will hear from my legal team should they not expedite the claim. Hope to hear from them.
