ABSA Insurance Claims
I'm a very frustrated unhappy client of ABSA at the moment.
On the 30th of March I phoned to report that my geyser burst on the 29th of March 2021. That was confirmed by my personal plumber and I asked him to turn off the water at the geyser to avoid any more damages. Now without water in the house. ????
I received an acknowledgement Claim email. I received a sms that a Plumbing Company will be in contact. The plumber came and inspected and left.
I realised that it was a long weekend and knew that nothing would be done about it and accepted it. It is what it is.
On Tuesday 6th of April I messaged the Plumbing Company to follow up only to be told that they've submitted the quote on the 31st of March and are waiting for authorization from ABSA. ONLY 9 DAYS WITHOUT WATER.
Today 8th of April ONLY 11 DAYS WITHOUT WATER I followed up again with Plumbing Company just to be told I need to follow up with ABSA.
What a nightmare the CALL CENTRE FOR CLAIMS ARE. Spending R100 on airtime and STILL NO LUCK. I was promised that somebody will come back to me today and it's already 18h30 and no call and tomorrow it's Friday again. So another weekend without water in the house. ONLY GOING TO BE 14 DAYS WITHOUT WATER!
Seriously! I've been more than patient and trying to avoid more damage by turning water off at geyser and being without water for so long. I'm seriously thinking of cancelling my insurance with ABSA and rather use a broker where I'll get better service.
This is what you get from ABSA and after that ENDLESS PROBLEMS TO GET IT SORTED. Every time you phone it's a new person and you have to tell the whole story again and again and again. There is not just one person you deal with but hundreds although the email said Trudy Maswikaneng will assist you and can be reached on, but when you call, it's a new person. The Call Centre Service sucks.
We hereby acknowledge the registration of claim number .............. submitted in respect of GEYSER, registered against policy number ..............
